Formula

inches = pixels / DPI

cm = inches x 2.54

// 4000x6000 at 300 DPI: 13.33" x 20.00" (33.87 x 50.80 cm)

// at 150 DPI: 26.7" x 40.0" - use for posters

Which DPI should I pick?

Scaling tip - when pixels are short

Need a larger print than the table allows? Do not upscale blindly. Instead halve the DPI (300 -> 150) to double inches, or pick a larger master (e.g. 8000x12000) and keep DPI at 300. Upscaling adds no real detail - viewing distance hides it for posters but not for hand-held prints.

Tip: ratio stays 2:3 in print - inches divide the same as pixels. Bleed and trim add ~0.125" per edge; do not ship exactly to paper size without bleed.
