Formula

inches = pixels / DPI

cm = inches x 2.54

// 1284x2778 at 300 DPI: 4.28" x 9.26" (10.87 x 23.52 cm)

// at 150 DPI: 8.6" x 18.5" - use for posters

Which DPI should I pick?

Scaling tip - when pixels are short

Need a larger print than the table allows? Do not upscale blindly. Instead halve the DPI (300 -> 150) to double inches, or pick a larger master (e.g. 2568x5556) and keep DPI at 300. Upscaling adds no real detail - viewing distance hides it for posters but not for hand-held prints.

Tip: ratio stays 214:463 in print - inches divide the same as pixels. Bleed and trim add ~0.125" per edge; do not ship exactly to paper size without bleed.
